Who are we?

Das Olympische Dorf ist eine Wohnsiedlung, die zum Anlass der Olympischen Spiele (1972) im Jahr 1972 erbaut wurde. Heute ist es als das „Olydorf“ bekannt und ist eines von vielen Wohnheimen des Studentenwerks in München. Auf 2 Hochhäuser, den Stufenbauten und den Bungalows verteilt wohnen etwa 1800 Student*innen.

The association of student self-government ("Studenten im Olympiazentrum e.V.") has been established in our housing complex. These ensure peaceful coexistence, an attractive everyday life, and more accessible communication between the student union and the residents.

The heart of the Olydorf, the "alte Mensa" or the Gemeinschaftszentrum (GEZ), houses all the essential institutions, such as the Student Union Counseling Center, our property management, and the technical administration.
It also houses the reading room with a small library, pottery room, wood and metal workshop, photo studio, music practice room, association office, Bierstube, OlyLounge, and OlyDisco, all run by the association.
